On Lawless Action
Americans can politely disagree on politics only when the laws are followed by everyone involved in politics.
Dear Friends,
It’s an exciting time to live in the United States of America, the most prosperous country in the world.
After Elon Musk spent over $290MM to influence the 2024 election, Donald Trump was elected with the votes of a little under half of the American electorate who bothered to vote.
Since inauguration, the President has issued orders that flatly contradict the law and the Constitution and engaged in purges of civil servants who are unwilling the express personal loyalty to the President, as opposed to their oath to the Constitution.
Elon Musk, without any oversight or confirmation by Congress, has root access to the databases of the United State Treasury that hold the personal identifying information of every individual who pays taxes to the government. Appointed government officials are being locked out of their offices by teenagers who were hired by Musk to stop payments of lawfully appropriated funds.

As Americans, we depend on the rule of law and the separation of powers established in the Constitution to avoid being brought down by an autocrat like so many other countries in history. The Founders assumed that the Congress would exercise its power of the purse to stop funding for lawless action by the Executive branch.
But what happens when a South African plutocrat seizes control of the very servers that make all the government payments, and instead of following the law, decides to cut off payments from anyone he dislikes or disapproves of?
It is not a normal time in this country.
Senators and Representatives have a limited window to exercise their lawful powers. Lawyers have a limited window to use the courts to stop lawless action. People have a limited window to urge their representatives at all levels of government to insist on following the law. Government officials at all levels have a limited window to obey their oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and refuse to comply with unlawful directives.
Please make your voice heard, contact your Senators and your Representative and ask them not to advance any confirmations or legislative matters while Elon Musk is illegally accessing the private identifying information for hundreds of millions of Americans.
Contact your Governor, ask them what they are going to do to uphold the law of your state against Federal action that violates state law or the Constitution.
From 2017 to 2021, the Libertarian Party regularly called out the unconstitutional abuses of executive power and reckless anti-freedom behavior of Donald Trump in the media and through our candidates for public office. That message was so popular that we achieved incredible growth during those years.
It can’t just be Libertarians. It can’t just be Democrats. It can’t just be independents.
Republicans need to stand up for the rule of law. They need to let their voices be heard, if they don’t want to stand silent in the face of tyranny.
We all need to stand up and be heard.
Yours truly,
Nick
P.S. If you haven’t watched
"Appointed government officials are being locked out of their offices by teenagers who were hired by Musk to stop payments of lawfully appropriated funds."
How are these teenagers making this happen? It seems like an Ashley Babbitt type response or two would cool their jets.
