On February 25th
Despite earlier predictions, Nikki Haley is still running for the Republican nomination, in an increasingly narrow bid.
Dear Friends,
It was on January 23rd, 2024 that I called the time of death of the Nikki Haley Presidential campaign.
Despite that prediction, she has gone on from New Hampshire to February 7th in Nevada, where she lost horribly to “None of the Above,” in a race where that option stood in for Donald Trump, who chose to participate in the caucus instead of the primary.
People have been calling Nikki Haley a candidate without a chance for weeks now, but the anti-Trump forces want to keep funding her to keep taking 40% of the GOP primary vote from here until the convention.
When the former Governor of South Carolina can’t get more than 40% of the Republican primary vote, there’s no chance she will win the nomination without the death or incapacity of Donald Trump.
She’s there in case he dies.
But when he doesn’t, she’s going to endorse him. She’s already said so during the New Hampshire primary. She’s already said she would pardon Trump.
Where should a socially liberal and fiscally conservative voter land?

The Libertarian Party candidate!
The Libertarian candidate is the only chance for a real anti-Trump vote: pro-immigration, pro-individual, pro-peace.
One way to ensure that a Libertarian candidate gets the maximum share of the vote in November is to make sure the candidate is on all fifty state ballots, something the Libertarian Party accomplished twice under my leadership, in 2016 and 2020.
There’s a real chance that the Libertarian Party will not have ballot access in New York this year unless people come together to gather 60,000 signatures in approximately four weeks, an average of nearly 2,000 signatures per day, a rought daily rate of $5,000 in salaries for the four weeks of the drive.
It’s a completely doable project that we’ve done dozens of times before with people like Wes Benedict and Christopher Thrasher. All that stands in the way is enough financial support for the efforts, both in volunteer training at convention and recruiting paid petitioners through nationwide ballot access networks.
If you live in New York and can commit to gathering 10 signatures, please respond to this email and we’ll get you connected with the organizers. We want this effort to be done as an effort independent of any committee or presidential campaign, to give it the best chance for success.
If you would like to underwrite this project, please reach out, especially if you would like to sign a fundraising letter to encourage a matching donation.
With the dead end of the Haley campaign a dying hope for the people who used to be Republicans, but can’t tolerate MAGA, we can make the Libertarian Party candidate a viable option for them in all fifty states, including New York.
If you are considering who to support for LNC positions in May at the convention, I would suggest supporting people who are working to achieve New York ballot access before the May convention. We can’t wait for a new committee, the terrible New York ballot access laws make us achieve this goal before the convention occurs.
Yours truly,
Nick
